Ho Ho Ho!!!

Merry Christmas everybody!

I miss saying those words "Merry Christmas". Everyone is so PC nowadays using the term "Happy Holidays" but since I celebrate Christmas and this is my blog, I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Last Friday, my good friend JC and I went to dinner at Cabana Seaport. I had forgotten just how beautiful Seaport is this time of year! The cobblestone streets and quaint stores by the water just create a differnt kind of NYC feeling. The restaurant is warm, cozy and festively decorated with white Christmas lights. In true Chinese fashion, we ordered a few plates and shared everything. If you ever decide to grab a meal while visiting the Seaport during the winter, I suggest their Beef Empanadas and Paella Valenciana with Shrimp, clams, mussels, chicken and chorizo simmered with saffron and garlic in a caldera of valencia rice. Even though I only got one measely shrimp, the rice is soo perfectly cooked and seasoned. My expanding waistline was not too thrilled but my mouth sure was.

N and I are hosting Christmas Linner this year. He will be doing most of the work but I will be pitching in by preparing two appetizers and two sides and he'll take care of the rest. Regardless, I am feeling the pressure. For some reason, people are expecting me to fail on my dishes - his mom has already offered to provide me with the number for a caterer. Just because I started out a bit late in the kitchen, doesn't make me a bad cook! Will provide my 1 follower with pictures of my masterpieces.

It's the Little Things

I don't know if it's old age or just plain stupidity, but I'm having a really hard time keeping up with technology these days. I've recently downgraded my Palm Treo to something much more basic and compatible with my needs, which are pretty much 1) a morning wake-up alarm 2) phone calls and 2) text messaging. I never did figure out how to set my alarm on my Palm Treo and am now very happy to be able to wake up every morning knowing I'll have just enough time to get ready for work, feed my baby Sebby and still catch some of the Today show before heading out the door.

Inches of snow came down on New York City last night. To my surprise, I found much delight running through the fresh, powdery clean snow on my way to see the 10:30PM showing of Avatar 3D. On my way home, the night was silent with the exception of one apartment party playing the sounds of "Twist and Shout". It seemed surreal to see all this beautifully undisturbed snow - all just waiting for me to lay and play in it.

Work has been insanely intense and crazy would be an understatement. I don't mind being extremely overwhelmed with busy-ness but I do mind being yelled at. To those that know my work life know exactly what I'm referring to. All my daily job functions had been temporarily put to a halt so that I could put together a party for Mr. AHG. 300 of his dear friends attended the soiree re-creating the heyday of Studio 54 - minus the drugs in the bathroom. (At least so I think). Seeing the eclectic crowd with their interesting ensembles and get ups did much for my imagination. I wish I could've lived through just one of their parties - before they all turned 50+.

Summer Fun

Brit Brit Rocks My World - Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Ms. Britney Spears is looking hotter than ever. Who said she was making a comeback? To me, she never even left. Sure, she took a break to get married once or twice, had two adorable boys, and managed to squeeze in a good head shave - but everyone deserves a break once in awhile!
Her show was nothing short of amazing! Oh! The production that took place! Lots and lots of lights, videos, dancers, performers, circus acts, hot men with ripped bodies that took their shirts off to tantilize the 13 year old crowd. What is not to love about her Circus Tour?

The Killers at Jones Beach - Tuesday, September 1, 2009

This makesth my 8th Killers concert - and my favorite one out of the bunch. It was a perfect, cool, 68 degree evening. PreParty in the parking lot then it's off to the seats a few rows back from the stage and right above the water. There are no words to describe being in an open venue with the ocean breeze blowing through to cool off my hardcore rocking.

Today - 6 Flags Great Adventures

Tomorrow - US OPEN

to be continued...

Greetings and Salutations!

I need to first thank my doormen N and J for always being so sunny and upbeat. Whenever I cross that lobby - for a few short seconds during my walk to and from the elevators and front entrance - they both cheerfully exclaim "It's Miss Patty!" as if the party has finally arrived!!!
Henceforth the credit and graditude to them - for their exclaimations are now the name to my new blog.
Cheers!

Secondly, Xanga deserves a proper farewell. Xanga had not done me wrong. I do not mind that I had been a faithful Xanga user for many years but the lack of noteworthy events in my life led me to abondon blogging for quite some time. Now that I'm ready to return to sharing my thoughts with all those out in cyberspace, I realized that I could not return to a site where I was no longer familiar. Xanga has changed. My subscribers have changed. I'm ready for something new.
